Before his passing, through selling his artwork and occasional chats with him at his gallery on Main St in Gloucester, MA, we’d become fans of not only his work, but the man himself.

He was an pioneer in the art world, but more importantly a truly kind and generous man.

To say Jon Sarkin was a pioneer in the Outsider Art world, is like saying the Eiffel Tower is big.

If when looking at his art, your mind bends, your jaw drops, and you scratch your head in wonder, you’ve found the heart of Jon’s work - make of it what you will, that’s what he wanted.
